Yeah we finally got together to do cards in March! This month we are using the Wings paper pack, I love how the black makes the colors just pop and I really like the butterflies.
On this card we used the new spray pen and the kraft borders. For this card I combined 2 ideas I found on the CTMH bulletin board to make this months mailable card. The card base is 5.5 x 10.5 scored at 4 1/4, 4 3/4, 5 1/4, 5 3/4, and 6 1/4. Peak and valley folds to make the inside seam to hold the pop up balloons. Hard to see are the strips of acrylic that hold the balloons. You can recycle any of that annoying packaging to use for the clear strips.
On this card we used the spray pen again, masking an area off to set off our butterfly. Notice the pleated ribbon. A little prisma glitter on the body and were done. Just a tip I use rubbing alcohol in the pen instead of water. This makes for less paper warping and quicker drying. Just make sure to clean the pen right away or put the spray tip upside down in a cup of water while using.
For this card we got to make the fan fold flowers. Just cut your strips the width you want and score every 1/2 inch. I love how just a little sanding highlights the white core of our cardstock on the butterflies. The "stitching" is done with a pen, too easy.
Pink and black make a classy card with nice damask background. Easy bow just wrap a button brad around a loop of ribbon.
